Postcard from Bridgeport Part 4 of (more for sure)

Okay a little FarmHouse Magazine “Jeopardy”

A: Giddy! Happiness! Joy!

Q: What was your reaction when you first saw the work of artist Robin Gilmore Topp of Made In Bridgeport CT?

Made In Bridgeport is a line of amazingly elegant, modern jewelry and wearable art made from upcycled and recycled hardware and other cool “junk” Ms Topp finds in the “junk” yard that is so advantageously near her house.

Lucky her!

And so am I! Yep I had to get this necklace. Is it not amazing?!

Its like a bird’s nest nestled in some futuristic yet vintage Art Deco building! I love her use of materials!

I didn’t get 20 feet away the rest of the Fest before someone would say:

“Great necklace!” It was too thrilling to just point and say, “Oh I got it just over there…”

Bridgeport CT
There is an energy coming from the pavement, around the curves of the amazing historic building, in the scent from the water close by and an ancient power in the green of grass parks (so many!) and the trees (yep, many too!). Some of the energy is a lament (missing what was), some of the energy is mad (“Why is it not…?”)
and some is pure joy!

Bridgeport is a place in transition and if I were a betting man, I would put my money on it.

So here one by one are shots taken at the Bridgeport Arts Festival…
